Austria has formally started its Eurovision 2027 search. ORF is inviting solo artists, bands and musical projects of all genres to apply as the broadcaster begins its internal selection for Burgas.

Applications can be submitted online or by email, with the deadline set for 18 September 2026. ORF says it is looking for a contemporary act with strong live potential and a song capable of reaching a large international audience.

The broadcaster also confirms that the Eurovision age threshold applies in full: artists must be at least 18 years old to take part.

No live national final has been announced, so Austria currently remains on the internal-selection path. The next major milestone will be ORF's eventual reveal of the chosen act and song.
