SVT closed the submission window on 11 September with 4,077 uploaded songs, the highest total in Melodifestivalen history. The broadcaster will select 30 entries for the televised season.

Six cities from Karlstad to Stockholm
The 2027 tour visits Karlstad, Gothenburg, Malmö, Halmstad and Norrköping before the final at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm. The schedule gives the site six fixed selection dates that now also feed the Eurovision 2027 calendar automatically.
