Burgas city officials have proposed a new location for EuroVillage during Eurovision 2027: the former warehouse area near Magazia 7 at the city's port.
What to know
- The port area near Magazia 7 is the proposed EuroVillage site.
- The mayor reports an agreement to use and prepare the area.
- Final EBU approval is still required.
According to Bulgarian outlet Flagman, Mayor Dimitar Nikolov said an agreement had been reached with Transport Minister Georgi Peev to make the port site available. Earlier possibilities included Troykata Square and the Sea Garden.
The proposed location is close to the railway station, bus station and sea terminal, potentially making the fan zone accessible to visitors arriving by several forms of transport.
The state is expected to prepare the site, but the proposal still requires final approval from the European Broadcasting Union. It should not yet be described as a confirmed EuroVillage venue.
Eurovision 2027 is scheduled to take place in Burgas on 11, 13 and 15 May.
