Germany brings back Das Deutsche Finale for Eurovision 2027

SWR will again use a televised national final to select Germany’s Eurovision entry, with artist and song applications open until 21 September 2026.

Germany will return to Das Deutsche Finale to choose its entry for Eurovision 2027, keeping the national-final format introduced for the 2026 season.

German broadcaster SWR is accepting applications from professional acts and songwriters until Monday 21 September 2026. The selection process will narrow the field before a live televised final expected in February 2027.

An external music-industry expert team will support the multi-stage selection. Exact details for the live show, including date, venue and competing acts, have not yet been announced.
