BURGAS 2027 · VARNA CONNECTION
Varna to Burgas for Eurovision 2027
Varna is one of the additional international gateways named in the official Burgas 2027 transport concept. If your flight or Black Sea itinerary brings you through Varna, compare the complete onward journey to Burgas by intercity bus, train or taxi/private transfer — including the airport-to-city layer and your show-night buffer.
Compare the complete Varna → Burgas route
Do not compare only the first ticket price. If you land at Varna Airport, include the airport-to-city connection, waiting time, luggage and the final arrival point in Burgas before deciding which mode is best.
| Mode | Strongest fit | Main advantage | Verify before booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intercity bus | A direct city-to-city option when the current Varna Bus Station timetable fits your arrival and departure plan. | Can avoid a rail interchange and gives a simple comparison point for travellers already in central Varna. | The actual operator, departure time, platform, luggage rules and service status for your May 2027 date. |
| Train | Useful when the live BDZ timetable works well for your day and you prefer a rail journey into Burgas station. | Official BDZ journey planning lets you compare direct and connecting options without relying on copied timetables. | The live BDZ itinerary, any change of train, seat availability and engineering changes for your exact date. |
| Taxi / private transfer | The most direct option to compare if several people are travelling together, luggage is heavy or a late arrival makes public transport awkward. | Can take you directly from Varna Airport or another Varna address to Burgas without changing modes. | The current official/authorised fare, booking conditions, vehicle size and whether a public-transport alternative gives better value. |
From Varna Airport into the city
Varna Airport's official public-transport guidance lists Bus 409 between Terminal 2 and central Varna. That can be the first layer if your onward journey leaves from the city bus or railway station.
The airport also publishes information for its authorised taxi service. If you are considering a direct taxi or transfer all the way to Burgas, use the current official airport information rather than accepting an unverified offer in the arrivals area.
Varna to Burgas by intercity bus
Varna Bus Station publishes Varna–Burgas departures and service updates. Its own passenger guidance warns that schedules can change and recommends checking shortly before travel.
That is exactly why this page does not freeze a current 2026 departure into a May 2027 Eurovision itinerary. Use the live station information when your actual travel date is close.
Varna to Burgas by train
BDZ publishes live Varna–Burgas rail options. Depending on the service, a journey may be direct or involve a connection, so the useful source is the live itinerary rather than an old screenshot or copied timetable.
Rail can be attractive if the times line up well with your accommodation and you want to arrive at Burgas railway station in the city rather than make another airport transfer.
Direct taxi or private transfer
Varna Airport's authorised taxi page includes Burgas among the destinations for which it publishes current fares. That makes a direct road transfer a real comparison option, especially for groups or awkward arrival times.
Do not treat today's tariff as a guaranteed Eurovision 2027 price. Re-check the official airport information before travel, and compare the total against public transport inside your trip budget.
Protect your Eurovision show buffer
The live broadcasts are confirmed for 11, 13 and 15 May 2027 at Arena Burgas. If you are transferring from Varna on a ticketed show day, build margin for intercity disruption, check-in, local Burgas transport and the final Arena entry process.
A route that is slightly slower but gets you to Burgas the previous day may be safer than a tight same-day connection that depends on every leg running perfectly.
