Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has named Gonzalo Pinillos as its national jury spokesperson at Junior Eurovision 2026. The young singer will appear during the voting presentation to announce how the Spanish jury has awarded its points in the contest.
What to know
- Gonzalo Pinillos will announce Spain’s jury votes.
- Lucas Paulano is Spain’s competing singer in 2026.
Gonzalo is familiar to Junior Eurovision audiences because he represented Spain in the 2025 edition. His new role gives a recent participant a place in the next competition without placing him among the sixteen acts singing for the trophy in Malta.
The spokesperson’s role is to communicate the result of the national jury to the audience. This is distinct from performing a competing song, serving on the jury or determining the online public-vote outcome. Spain’s 2026 entry is Lucas Paulano with Cuore Bello (Te Quiero, Te Quiero).
The junior final is scheduled for 24 October in Ta’ Qali, Malta. RTVE’s announcement is another sign that broadcasters are finalising the presentation and voting arrangements during the final week before the contest.
