Ukraine’s public broadcaster Suspilne has unveiled an official costume sketch for Erika Kolesnichenko, who will perform NOT A LULLABY at Junior Eurovision 2026. The outfit is pink, with an expressive silhouette, voluminous sleeves and flounces around the trouser legs, designed to reinforce the theatrical energy of the song.
What to know
- Ukraine has revealed Erika’s pink costume concept.
- The staging features dancers whose faces will not be shown.
Stylist Oleksandr Hrekov created the look. According to Suspilne, the stage direction required a pink colour palette and a distinctive trouser cut to express the playful character of the music. The broadcasters’ reveal is a costume design preview, not confirmation that every detail will appear unchanged in the televised performance.
Stage directors Lesia Podolianko and Illia Osiadlyi say the international staging develops ideas already used in Ukraine’s national final. They have teased a transformation for Erika and a dance ensemble whose faces will be hidden from the audience. The dancers are intended to function as moving scenery, not simply background performers.
Ukraine’s entry is scheduled to perform eleventh among the 16 countries at the final in Malta on 24 October. Suspilne said the creative team had only two days to develop the international concept after national-selection scheduling was affected by security conditions. The full staging will become clear when rehearsals take place at MFCC.
