Ukraine's public broadcaster Suspilne unveiled a new themed photoshoot for Erika Kolesnichenko on 13 October, showing how the country's Junior Eurovision 2026 campaign is developing a visual identity around her song 'NOT A LULLABY'. The images were shared on the broadcaster's and Eurovision Ukraine's social channels as preparations continued for the international final in Malta.
What to know
- Suspilne shared Erika Kolesnichenko's 'NOT A LULLABY' photoshoot on 13 October.
- A handmade fantasy-bedroom set was assembled in one day.
- Ukraine is set to perform 11th in the 24 October Junior Eurovision final.
The concept places Erika inside an imagined dream. A bed, an oversized alarm clock, dramatic flowers and a floor lamp transform the set into a fantastical bedroom rather than a conventional portrait studio. According to Suspilne, the objects are intended to echo the world of the competition song, connecting the photographs with the story the Ukrainian delegation wants to tell.
Creative producer Danylo Diemiekhin said the team built the room in just one day. Artist Anastasiia Zelenska worked on the design, while Erika's dance team also helped produce the handmade decorations. Photographer Anastasiia Mantach captured the finished scene. The broadcaster presented the production as a coordinated effort to give the young performer a distinctive visual setting.
The photoshoot offers a glimpse of the campaign's creative direction, but it does not establish that these exact props or sets will appear on the Junior Eurovision stage. Suspilne separately identified Lesia Podolianko and Illia Osiadlyi as people working on Ukraine's performance. The delegation is due to travel to Malta for stage rehearsals at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali.
Erika won Ukraine's selection for Junior Eurovision 2026 with 'NOT A LULLABY'. Suspilne said its Eurovision Ukraine social platforms amassed more than 47 million views and roughly 1.9 million interactions around this year's national-selection season. Those figures describe digital engagement across the selection coverage, not television ratings for the international contest.
The Junior Eurovision final is scheduled for 24 October 2026. According to Suspilne, the live broadcast begins at 22:00 Kyiv time and Erika has been assigned running-order position 11. The newly released photographs add a promotional chapter ahead of rehearsals, while the final staging and televised performance remain the decisive next steps.
