Why the record is so difficult to break

Eurovision later introduced minimum-age rules for performers. For the 2027 Contest, artists must be at least 18 years old by the day of their first rehearsal, so Sandra Kim's age record cannot be challenged under the current rules.

The age record and Belgium's first victory happened on the same night. That makes Bergen 1986 one of the most notable editions in the historical archive.
