What to know
- Supernova 2027 submissions close on 1 October.
- Foreign songwriters may participate under Latvia’s rights-ownership rules.
- The competing artists are expected to be announced in November.
- The final takes place on 6 February at Xiaomi Arena.
- Public voting alone will decide the winner in the superfinal.
Artists and songwriters have been able to submit entries since 1 August. Foreign songwriters may take part provided non-Latvian rights holders do not control more than 49% of the song.
The competing artists are expected to be announced in November after broadcaster LTV completes its selection process.
The Supernova 2027 final will take place on 6 February at Xiaomi Arena in Riga.
The final will be held in two stages. In the first, public voting and an international jury will determine the three acts that advance to the superfinal.
The Supernova 2027 winner will then be chosen by public voting alone and will represent Latvia at Eurovision 2027 in Burgas.
