Luxembourg broadcaster RTL has announced the 12 performers who advanced from 80 auditions for Luxembourg Song Contest 2027. The jury assessed vocal ability, artistic identity and stage presence. Under this year's revised format, singers could audition with cover versions rather than a finished original entry.
What to know
- Twelve of eighty auditioning artists advanced to the next stage.
- Song submissions close on 29 October; the final is scheduled for 30 January 2027.
The twelve selected artists are Maya Maunet, Perrine Thomas, Carmen Luisa, KIM, Gaïa, Patricia Venâncio, Debbie M, Jaya, Marco Misolic, Clement Lerat, Layso Roy and Hugo One. Their advancement is not the final national-selection lineup: the broadcaster will still match shortlisted performers with potential Eurovision songs.
Songwriters can submit songs until 29 October 2026. In November the selected artists will attend a Pairing Workshop to find suitable material. RTL expects to announce the final Luxembourg Song Contest lineup in mid-November, with the televised final scheduled for 30 January 2027 at Rockhal.
