RAI has selected 60 acts for the live auditions of Sanremo Giovani 2026. The lineup consists of 55 solo performers and five groups. The selection was made by a musical commission chaired by artistic director Stefano De Martino, and auditions will be held at the broadcaster's Via Asiago studios in Rome.
What to know
- RAI has selected 60 acts, including Emma Muscat, for Sanremo Giovani 2026 auditions.
- The 11 December final will award one place in Sanremo 2027's Campioni lineup.
Among the selected performers is Emma Muscat, who represented Malta at Eurovision 2022. She is competing with the song Romanticamente. The shortlist also includes performers from Italian talent competitions, but reaching the auditions does not yet guarantee a place at the main Sanremo festival.
The next stages will bring together 15 acts from Sanremo Giovani and 15 from Area Sanremo. Six finalists will compete on 11 December 2026 for one place in the Campioni category at Sanremo 2027. The Sanremo festival is closely followed by Eurovision fans, although winning Sanremo does not by itself establish Italy's eventual Eurovision entry.
