Ukraine's application window for Vidbir 2027 closes on Monday 2 November 2026, the deadline published by public broadcaster Suspilne. Singers and songwriters have been able to apply since 15 September. Closing the call is an administrative milestone, not the announcement of Ukraine's representative or song for Eurovision 2027 in Burgas.
What to know
- Applications close on 2 November 2026.
- Up to 12 artists will reach the longlist; at least six enter the first shortlist.
- The complete field is due by 22 January, with the final in February.
From the longlist to the televised final
Suspilne plans to create a longlist of up to 12 performers, who will attend in-person auditions. At least six artists will enter the first shortlist, which is due by 4 December. A public ranking will then award a wildcard to an eligible act from the longlist that did not qualify directly.
The full finalist list must be confirmed by 22 January 2027, ahead of the televised national final in February. Music producer Dmytro Shurov (Pianoбой) has been working with potential entrants and emphasising song quality. Suspilne has not announced the applicants or finalists.
Entrants must be at least 18 by 3 May 2027, and songs must be original, no longer than three minutes and not publicly released or performed previously. Demos are accepted. Readers should not confuse the closure of applications with a confirmed line-up or the selection of a winner.
